Family & Children's Services of the Waterloo Region

   About the Position

Impact Statement
Volunteers play an important role at Family and Children's Services to provide wrap-around supports for families and children. We have a variety of positions that support the work of the Agency and our Foundation. Since 1991, the Family & Children’s Services of the Waterloo Region Foundation has supported children, youth, and families in our community.

Government funding is not enough to meet the needs of the families we serve. Research shows that it takes a caring community to help children and families. Thanks to the support of kind and generous individuals, families, businesses, and foundations, we are able to support the programs and services that prevent child abuse and neglect, and allow children and their families to stay together and thrive.

Provide support to FACS Foundation team with social media post creation and post planning. Help to create original and engaging content, re-sharing existing content across our various social media platforms. We are looking to engage with the community using digital content to share our story, to invite conversation, build awareness and demonstrate the need for support of our foundation.

Qualifications preferred: Hands-on experience managing social media accounts and a level of comfort on various platforms; Excellent communication and copywriting skills; Proven ability to deliver engaging and creative content within brand guidelines using latest apps and tools.
