   About the Position

Impact Statement
Help the GVTA to achieve its mandate by working with the board to manage and maintain the financial affairs of the GVTA through the accurate and timely recording, monitoring and reporting of all transactions in accordance with legislation and regulations governing charitable organizations.

As a member of the GVTA board, you are responsible for the financial record-keeping of the association. You ensure that there are effective and adequate financial controls in place to minimize financial risks and monitor regulatory filing. You will prepare monthly reporting, annual financials, prepare and maintain the budget. Working with the board, you will manage disbursements and tax receipts.

Age: 40+

Training / Work Condtions

Training Details: Experience with Excel, Word, banking software is required.
Training will be provided.
Working Conditions: The work will be done indoors in your own office setting. Meetings are held virtually until such time that we can gather in-person.

Time Commitment

Duration: 1 year or more
Weekend - Evening, Anytime
Attend monthly board meetings, Annual General Meeting.
Prepare financial reports and budgets as required and handle expense management, invoicing, inquiries and process tax receipts as needed.
