Behind every person with Alzheimer's disease or a related dementia, there are hundreds of people dedicated to helping. The Alzheimer Society Waterloo Wellington is dedicated to providing help for people with Alzheimer's disease and dementia and their caregivers in our community. Our dedicated board, staff and volunteers work tirelessly to make a difference in the lives of those we serve.

Description
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Technical Support Volunteer to assist our Fund Development team as we work on our annual fundraiser, The IG Management Walk for Alzheimer’s. The volunteer will be following up with people by phone or email to help participants register for the walk, general navigation of the site, identifying, troubleshooting, and remedying issues the end user has.
This role would be well suited for a post secondary student with strong computer skills, experience with assisting people with understanding and using digital technology and has access to a computer with a stable internet connection and a phone. The ability to work independently and be self-directed is important for this role.

Training / Work Condtions

Training Details: Training will be provided. The volunteer will work offsite with a staff lead available to answer any questions or clarifications the volunteer may have.

This is a short-term project, approximately 3-4 hours a week until May 30th depending on demand. This is a flexible volunteer opportunity that allows you to connect with clients virtually at a time that is the most convenient for both of you.
