Impact Statement
Frontier College is a national literacy organization. We believe literacy is a right. We work with volunteers and community partners to give people the skills and confidence they need to reach their potential and contribute to society.

Description
Virtual North Six Reading Buddies is an online guided reading program run by Frontier College, in partnership with the North Six Neighbourhood Association, that engages and helps children in grades 2-4 improve their social and reading skills in a safe, fun, and friendly virtual environment. Virtual tutors are then matched up with learners to engage in one-on-one reading facilitated through the Zoom breakout room feature. During the last part of the session, the virtual tutors play games with the learners to further develop their literacy skills.
