Description Virtual North Six Reading Circle is an online guided reading program run by United for Literacy, in partnership with the North Six Neighbourhood Association, that engages and helps children in grades 1-6 improve their social and reading skills in a safe, fun, and friendly virtual environment.
Virtual tutors are then matched up with learners to engage in 1:1 guided e-reading facilitated through Zoom breakout rooms. During the last part of the session, the virtual tutors play games with the learners to further develop their literacy and social skills. Please fill out an application form ( https://www.unitedforliteracy.ca/Volunteer/Program-Volunteers) and then we will follow up with an application form and information regarding next steps in our new volunteer tutor onboarding process.
