Impact Statement
Help kids get off the sidelines and into the game! KidSport KW is a committee of the KW Sports Council (a not-for-profit organization) that provides grants to low income children and youth so they can participate in their favourite local sport or dance activities. Whether it’s basketball, soccer, gymnastics or ballet, when kids want to get involved in organized, instructional or competitive sports or dance, KidSport KW will make it happen – So ALL Kids Can Play!

Description
The Events Coordinator is a key position and voting member of the Chapter Management Committee responsible for organizing events directly or in conjunction with other community organizations.
The responsibilities of this position include:
• Organizing events to increase the awareness of the Chapter in the
community
• Brainstorming and suggesting creative event ideas
• Assigning responsibilities to other members to help ensure the event is
successful
• Attending Management Committee meetings in the evening once per month

Training / Work Condtions
Training Details: On-going support will be provided by the Chairperson and the Management Committee at KidSport KW.
Working Conditions: The work can be done remotely from home using your personal computer and phone. Because this is a voting member of the Chapter Management Committee, it is required that the Events Coordinator attend the monthly Management Committee meeting. Meetings are scheduled in the Kitchener / Waterloo area in the evening.
