Impact Statement: SHORE Centre volunteers help to promote choice through accurate sexual health education and confidential support.
Description: We are looking for some help with making this a great workshop series for teens and Moms! If you want to come and learn while you volunteer( High School-Community Hours) - this is a great option for YOU!

Help facilitator set up for the program’s activity:
• Establish a friendly relationship with the participants
• Provide support during program’s activities
• Clean-up at the end of the program

This program is for Moms & Daughters (age 13-20) topics include:
• How moms could talk to her daughter about puberty and how to take care of herself;
• How to eat healthy and active lifestyle (Zumba class);
• Activities for girls and their moms to know more about healthy relationship and how to say "NO" and be assertive;
• Information about how to start looking for jobs and how to access community resources to look for jobs (offered by Speaker from Working Centre).
Training Details: Volunteers will be supervised by the Program Coordinator
Working Conditions: Event will be held at Forest Hill United Church, 121 Westmount Rd., Kitchener.
Duration: 3 months or less
Timing: Weekday - Evening
Time Detail: 5-7:30 PM - dates to be confirmed.
