Impact Statement An hour a week is all that is needed to assist a resident at mealtime and give them a pleasurable one-on-one mealtime experience.

Description Volunteers are needed to assist staff during meals with feeding residents who are unable to feed themselves; assist in transporting and walking residents to the dining room; visit and socialize with residents before mealtime; feed residents as assigned by registered nurse; and assist in transportation of residents from dining room to lounge. Volunteers must have patience and the ability to motivate reluctant eaters; an interest or experience in nursing would be an asset.
Volunteers are needed on Saturday and Sunday mornings at 8:00 a.m to assist at breakfast.

Training Details: Volunteer orientation and training in feeding techniques is provided. Working Conditions: Able to sit beside a resident and assist residents. Time Commitment
Duration: 4 - 6 months Anytime We are looking for a volunteer to assist at breakfast at 8:00 a.m. on any weekday or weekend day.
