SPCA is a great place to play! Neighbours can contribute to the programming, services and all being offered at this vibrant community centre. The SPCA is a volunteer organization supporting the local residents of the North East side of Kitchener.

Description
Are you passionate about recycling and preserving our environment? We are looking for people to assist with the Stanley Park Community Centre’s recycling program and to raise awareness about recycling programs in the community.

This position is flexible - we are looking for someone who is passionate about environmentalism and has innovative ideas on how to improve our recycling program!


Position Qualifications

Ideal for: An Individual
Age: 18+

Training / Work Condtions

Training Details: - Basic Health and Safety, AODA and evacuation training provided
- Tour and overview of the Stanley Park Community Centre
- Opportunities to attend workshops, meetings, and other training sessions pertaining to the position
Working Conditions:
Accessibility: Wheelchair accessible entrance, Wheelchair accessible washroom, Designated accessible parking space, Support volunteers with special needs, Accessible work space, Support Newcomers
Transportation: On a bus route


Time Commitment

Duration: 7 - 12 months
Anytime
- Approximately 6 hours per month, with some months being less
- Recycling sorting will be done at Stanley Park Community Centre and St. Anthony Daniel Catholic Church
