Impact Statement Volunteers get an opportunity to make new friends and meet interesting people as well as having the satisfaction of making a positive difference in another person’s life. In addition, this will be an opportunity to develop new skills and abilities and give you a chance to belong to and feel part of a unique community.

Description These volunteers are on the frontlines as they engage with our guests through conversations and friendships. Drop-In volunteers will support our staff, greeting guests, interacting through conversations, games etc. in order to build relationships.

Training / Work Condtions
Training Details: On site training and orientation is provided. Working Conditions: Will be a combination of sitting and standing in an indoor setting for a period of time, interacting with people who use our services. Accessibility: Wheelchair accessible entrance, Wheelchair accessible washroom, Designated accessible parking space, Accessible work space Transportation: On a bus route

Time Commitment
Duration: 4 - 6 months Weekday - Daytime Volunteers are scheduled for one shift per week only, and must be able to commit to a 13-week minimum commitment. Available shifts are as follows: Mondays 2:30pm-5:30pm Tuesdays 2:30pm-5:30pm Wednesday 2:30pm-5:30pm Thursdays 2:30pm-5:30pm Fridays 2:30pm-5:30pm
