Description To help “connect” newcomer families to their new community by offering opportunities to develop social connections with established immigrant and Canadian born families.

Ideal for: An Individual Age: 18+
Area(s) of Interest: Caring Support, Newcomer Support
Skill(s): Cultural Awareness/Sensitivity, Interpersonal Communication, Translation

Training / Work Condtions
Training Details: Training and Support will be provided before beginning. Working Conditions: Accessibility: Wheelchair accessible entrance, Wheelchair accessible washroom, Designated accessible parking space, Support volunteers with special needs, Accessible work space, Support Newcomers Transportation: On a bus route

Time Commitment
Duration: 4 - 6 months Anytime 1-2 hours per week
