Description Since 2014, we have been running a comprehensive in-school bike training program for grade 5 and 6 students. During that time we have provided training for over 5,500 students in Kitchener, Cambridge, Waterloo and Woolwich. Our Covenant of Inclusion ensures that all students are able to participate by providing bikes and helmets for kids that don’t have them, teaching kids to ride for the first time, and adapting our program to include students with special needs. Our program takes place during the school day and includes connections to the grade 5 and 6 curriculum. Our program involves six individual modules including rules and safety, bike tune ups, tire repair, rodeo (special practice sessions on the school yard), road instruction, and an assessment.
