   About the Position

Impact Statement
Our Volunteers are the heart of our organization. They play a vital role in our mission to empower those whose lives are impacted by cancer to improve their emotional, physical and spiritual well-being. They make a difference in their communities by donating their time and skills in supporting and inspiring cancer patients, their caregivers, and their families.

Description
Our centre would like to offer peer-to-peer support group classes to clients. Each class will be 1.5 hours in length once or twice a month. Your role would be to provide a safe space for cancer patients and caregivers to express and explore their feelings in a group setting. You will have experience in providing support group with Peer-to-Peer certification.
Topics for Support Groups, though not limited to:
- Grief and Loss
- Palliative Care
- Youth
- Breast Cancer
Volunteer must be energetic, friendly and enthusiastic with good time management and public speaking skills and likes working with people. The position will start a.s.a.p. and will be 1.5 hours in length once or twice a month.

Training / Work Condtions

Training Details: Orientation to organization will be given during interview and onboarding. You must provide proof of training and certification. Previous experienced as a Peer-to-Peer facilitator is required.
Working Conditions: Independent with some guidance and support. Virtual - Zoom

Time Commitment

Duration: 4 - 6 months
Weekday - Daytime, Weekday - Evening
