   About the Position

Impact Statement
The Waterloo Regional Block Parent Program provides programs and services that build safe, connected, and engaged neighbourhoods that encourage children, and their communities, to embrace a more healthy and active lifestyle in the Region of Waterloo. Become a Member of the Board of Directors to help fulfill the mission of the Block Parent Program.

Description
The Block Parent Program is currently seeking Members for the Board of Directors who are strategic thinkers, planners, innovators, and leaders. This position requires an individual to actively attend all board meetings to help make important decisions, discuss board related issues, and to help implement new programs and help us achieve our mission. This volunteer preferably has knowledge and skills in one or more areas of board governance: policy, finance, programs/services, and/or human resources.

Training / Work Condtions

Training Details: Orientation and Training Provided
Working Conditions: One in-person meeting per month, plus computer work from home in between meetings

Time Commitment

Duration: 1 year or more
Weekday - Evening
The Board of Directors meet on the last Tuesday of every month from 7-9pm in downtown Kitchener. Must be able to devote 6 hours per month for one full year of involvement.
