We offer the highest standards of individualized services for person-directed planning, independent facilitation, building networks of support, learning and resources based on evidence-based research and best practices.

Description Serve as ambassadors for our organization and full citizenship for people with disabilities. Contribute to developing and executing our strategic plan. Contribute to the sustainability of our organization through donations, participating in fundraising campaigns, identifying and cultivating relationships in the community. Board members will serve on either the Future Planning, Marketing & Communications or Fund Development Committees. We are seeking board members with the following skills and experience and are passionate about our vision, mission and purpose and who share our values: Social Enterprise Development Lived Experience as a person with a disability or family member of a loved one with a disability, Finance / Accounting Legal Speciality with Wills, Estates & Trusts Information Technology, Communications, Marketing and Public Relations, Fund Development

Training / Work Condtions
Training Details: You will be provided with an orientation, matched with a board 'mentor' and provided with the materials necessary for you to assume your role and responsibilities. Time Commitment
Duration: 1 year or more Weekday - Daytime, Weekday - Evening You will be required to read pre-board meeting materials and attend monthly board meetings held on the 3rd Monday of the month from 6:30-8:30. The reading and preparation portion approximately take about 4 hours prior to each meeting. Board members may also participate in other board committees.
