Parkwood has an active volunteer program. As a volunteer, you become an integral member of the Parkwood Community along with the residents and staff. Our intention is to provide each volunteer with a meaningful and rewarding experience that also has great value to the residents of Parkwood. We appreciate the caring support of our volunteers and always welcome new members. We have many volunteer positions available to suit your interests and availability.

Description
Come and enjoy our beautiful, bright hair salon! It's a great way to get to know the residents of Parkwood. Volunteers are needed to assist residents getting to and from their appointments in the salon. Volunteers will also assist with light duties in maintaining a tidy work environment.

Training / Work Condtions
Training Details: Training will be provided to improve the volunteer's familiarity with Parkwood. Specific training in salon procedures will be provided on an on-going basis.
Working Conditions: Some walking required. Volunteer must be able to push a wheelchair.
Accessibility: Wheelchair accessible entrance, Wheelchair accessible washroom, Designated accessible parking space, Support volunteers with special needs, Accessible work space, Support Newcomers
Transportation: On a bus route

Duration: 3 months or less
Weekday - Daytime
Tuesday mornings from approximately 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.
