SHORE Centre is proud to receive the generous support of the Cambridge Bingo & Gaming Centre. Each month, a group of dedicated folks volunteer on behalf of SHORE Centre at Cambridge Bingo & Gaming Centre, supporting staff and customers before and during Bingo sessions.

Description Duties and Responsibilities
- Represent SHORE Centre in a professional manner; - Greet/welcome customers and provide friendly customer service; - Work as a team with Bingo centre staff and assist them during the session; - Keep the Bingo centre tidy.
Qualifications - 18 years of age or older; - Be familiar with the programs and services offered by SHORE Centre; - Committed to SHORE Centre’s mission, vision, and values and to building an inclusive workspace, including striving to be anti-racist, accessible, 2SLGBTQIA+ positive, aware of class dynamics and power/privilege; - Be mature, approachable, responsible, non-judgmental, empathetic, and friendly; - Have effective verbal communication skills; - Work as a team player with fellow volunteers, bingo centre customers and staff.

Training / Work Condtions
Training Details: Online training and in-person orientation will be provided to all new volunteers. The online training takes approximately 1-2 hours, in-person orientation takes place on-site during a Bingo shift. Working Conditions: Our shift is split between "greeting" and calling out winning card numbers. Be prepared to be in a centre where Bingo and electronic gaming takes place, the flooring is a hard surface with ramps for accessibility. The volunteer will circulate around the Bingo centre to support staff during the Bingo games. Accessibility: Wheelchair accessible entrance, Wheelchair accessible washroom, Designated accessible parking space, Accessible work space Transportation: On a bus route

Time Commitment
Duration: 1 year or more Weekday - Daytime 2-hour shift monthly or every other month from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM, typically on Fridays.
