Description - Assist with elementary and secondary school educational field trips provided at Ken Seiling Waterloo Region Museum. - Help to set up and clean up program supplies and activity centers - Assist students in participating in hands-on education program activities - Interact with students and teachers - Provide support to program leader(s) with supervision of children - Direct teachers, parents and students to program leader(s) with questions, comments, or concerns - visit https://regionofwaterloomuseums.ca/en/teachers-and-students/field-trips-and-outreach.aspx#Ken-Seiling-Waterloo-Region-Museum-School-Programs for a description of program offerings

Training / Work Condtions
Training Details: Museum staff will provide training and ongoing guidance. Experience working with children is required. Working Conditions: Museum Education Programs are held at Ken Seiling Waterloo Region Museum. Accessibility: Wheelchair accessible entrance, Wheelchair accessible washroom, Designated accessible parking space, Support volunteers with special needs, Accessible work space, Support Newcomers Transportation: On a bus route

Time Commitment
Duration: 4 - 6 months Start Date:2024-09-09 End Date:2025-06-20 Weekday - Daytime Museum Education Programs are offered to elementary and secondary school classes Monday to Friday 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Volunteer shift times will vary based on school transportation arrangements. Full and half day volunteer shifts are available.
