WILD Outside

Canadian Wildlife Federation

   About the Position

Impact Statement
By participating in this fun, educational, volunteer program, youth across Canada will experience opportunities for personal growth while developing and encouraging their own “conservation ethic.” Learning alongside peers and under the guidance of CWF facilitators, WILD Outside youth will enjoy opportunities for outdoor adventure and immersive nature experiences in a safe, structured environment.

Connecting with local partners, participants will help plan and deliver community-based conservation service projects such as garbage pick-ups, building turtle nest protectors, tree planting and much more. Participants will get to have a positive impact on their community and local wildlife, fulfill volunteer hours required by their school, and enjoy the wonders of nature.

Description
WILD Outside is a national conservation-based community service and leadership program designed for youth ages 15 to 18. The goal is to inspire participants to develop their passion for service through conservation activities, build awareness of their natural environment and inspire a deeper appreciation for wildlife. The best way to do that is to get them out there to experience it themselves!

This program is open to everyone. No barriers –physical, economic, or otherwise — should keep young people from nature. This is a no-cost program with free enrolment that encourages young people of all ability levels and outdoor experience to join.
