Impact Statement Over the years, team members at the YWKW have developed programs to meet the changing needs of local women, trans, and non-binary folks and remain committed to gender equality. By digitizing our HR processes, the YW human resources team can better serve these amazing team members who have dedicated their careers to such great work. A volunteer in this role will help us to accelerate progress towards our goals.
Individuals interested in the field of Human Resources will gain exposure to the types of documents that are collected/processed by the HR department and will have limited contact with anyone outside of the HR department in this role.
Persons with previous experience within an office environment are encouraged to apply.

Description The YW’s HR Team is in the process of digitizing our library of employee files. We're looking for one or more volunteers to help us move documents from paper to digital format. The position would suit someone with experience working in an office environment who gets satisfaction from organizing, sorting, and arranging.
Applicants should have: * Experience using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint/OneDrive) * Experience using photocopy and scanning technologies/machines * Careful attention to detail * Able to work independently once a task is explained * Able to sort digital documents alphabetically with accuracy * Maintain strict confidentiality * Dependable attendance
The volunteer will scan paper documents into digital format, then sort the digital files into appropriate digital folders. Other tasks may be assigned by the HR department as projects arise, but employee file digitization will be the main task of this role.

Training / Work Condtions
Training Details: The volunteer will work alongside other members of the HR team for the first few shifts then will mostly work independently based on their availability. Working Conditions: Location is on the main floor of an office building. Volunteers must be able to use a computer and a photocopier. Accessibility: Designated accessible parking space Transportation: On a bus route

Time Commitment
Duration: 3 months or less Weekday - Daytime Hours and Commitment: Ideally the candidate will be available 2 or 3 hours/day on 1-3 days per week (flexible schedule). The work would occur during the daytime business hours Monday to Friday between 10:00am and 4:00pm.
