   About the Position

Impact Statement
A community where all children, youth, adults and families experience mental wellness, financial stability and a safe place to live.

Description
Are you passionate about youth mental health and interested in making a real difference in services for your community? Lutherwood is looking for members to add to its Community Advisory Committee. The CAC is a formal group with a direct link to the decision makers in Waterloo Region’s Children’s Mental Health System who are interested in members’ opinions about programs, policies, proposed changes, budget and resource allocations/partnership with other service providers. The CAC is made up of parent/caregiver members who have lived experience providing care to children/youth struggling with mental health challenges, and two agency representatives. Members provide feedback to the agency representatives on a variety of topics related to children/youth mental health. The group is a forum for networking about community mental health initiatives, what’s working, what’s not, and how the system can better collaborate to meet community needs.
