   About the Position

Impact Statement
The Royal Medieval Faire is a magical day where the medieval period comes alive in the 21st century. The day is full of games, medieval vendors and performers, including dramatic productions, musicians and swordplay. Every year, the Faire relies on dedicated volunteers to bring the festival alive and attract thousands of patrons for the annual event.

Description
The volunteer on the Royal Medieval Faire team will be responsible for coordinating the making of merchandise to raise funds for the faire, and also for organizing and manning the merchandise booth on festival-day.

Responsibilities
- Come up with new ideas for items to make and sell
- Recruit sewers, knitters and crafters to make item to sell
- Make and price items to be sold on faire day
- Help with the faire set up the day before the faire
- Organize volunteers for running the booth on faire day
- Set up and supervise the booth the day of the faire
- Mann merchandise booth the day of the faire
Qualifications
- Creative crafts person who is detail oriented to ensure a quality product.
- Ability to sew and make arts and crafts.

Training / Work Condtions

Training Details: - Orientation session and support from a member of the Royal Medieval Faire Board will be arranged
- The previous coordinator will help with the transition and supply a list of past volunteers, ideas, patterns etc.

Working Conditions: Some computer use. Work form home. Monthly meetings required. Work with arts and crafts. Flexible.

- Flexible hours throughout the year
- Commitment to help run the festival the day of the event on Saturday, September 16, 2023 from 8am to 8pm (includes set up and take down of event)
- Attend board meetings as arranged. Time required throughout the year for the above responsibilities is flexible and within the control of the Merchandise Coordinator
