   About the Position

Impact Statement
Love dogs?! Want to make a difference in your community?! Help us raise a service dog by giving them a loving home.

We train Certified Autism and PTSD Service Dogs, Canine Assisted Intervention Dogs, and Skilled Companion Dogs

Description
As an NSD Puppy Raiser, you help us to raise a service dog by helping them learn house manners and socialization, and exposing them to new people, places, and experiences.

Puppy Raisers get lots of support from our team and Volunteer Village, attend regular training classes, and learn new skills while making new friends! NSD Puppy Raisers take on a dog from about 8 weeks old to 13-17 months of age. Puppy Raisers can access Puppy Sitters and Puppy Support Homes when they need a day, weekend, or a week off. By deciding to become a Puppy Raiser, you are helping one more dog change one more life for the better.

Make some two-legged and four-legged friends and enjoy:
Volunteer Social Hours (Coffee Shop dates, Brewery Happy Hours, Pack Walks)
Grief & Loss Programming (Volunteer Circle Support Group, Grief & Loss Toolkit, and built-in curriculum during puppy class)
Special offers and discounts via Community Partners
and more!
