Impact Statement Youth Program Assistants interact with children (3-11 years) who attend our summer programs. Working together with staff, volunteers are enthusiastic and provide hands-on help to staff and participants. In return, you can collect community service hours for high school, boost your résumé and have fun!

Description . 13 - 18 years; entering grades 9 - 12 in the fall 2023 . Enjoys interacting with other people (staff, volunteers, kids); experience an asset . Excited about working with kids and willing to smile, start a conversation, play a game, give instructions or provide assistance . Reliable and able to work independently

Training / Work Condtions
Training Details: Candidates will be able to sign up for an interview/information session. Training will be presented online at the end of June. Working Conditions: Library space Accessibility: Wheelchair accessible entrance, Wheelchair accessible washroom, Designated accessible parking space, Support volunteers with special needs, Accessible work space, Support Newcomers Transportation: On a bus route

Time Commitment
Duration: 3 months or less Weekday - Daytime Must be able to volunteer for at least five shifts throughout the summer; each shift is 2 hours. Please note that our summer programs are not offered every day of the week; no weekend shifts.
