Impact Statement Volunteers play a valuable role at both of our houses. Their support is vital and integral to the ongoing operation of the hospice and is greatly appreciated.

Description At our Kitchener location, you will assist staff with light meal prep (supervised), dishes, and maintaining kitchen areas to Public Health standards. Volunteers must demonstrate a knowledge and enjoyment of being in a kitchen, proper hygiene and cleaning practices, and strong oral communication skills.

Training / Work Condtions
Training Details: A 10-hour training class and orientation to position required and provided upon successful acceptance. Criminal Record and Judicial Matters check is mandatory. Volunteers must complete some training annually. Working Conditions: Standing for up to 4 hours; kitchen environment. Accessibility: Wheelchair accessible entrance, Wheelchair accessible washroom, Designated accessible parking space Transportation: On a bus route

Time Commitment
Duration: 1 year or more Weekday - Daytime Currently looking for 3 volunteers, one per day to cover a shift from 10 am to 1 pm on either Wednesday, Thursday or Friday
