Group Meal Team
Community Center
Impact Statement Group Meal Teams are extremely valuable partners with the Ray of Hope Community Center in our daily meal program where we provide hot, nutritious meals for our persons struggling with poverty, homelessness, addictions and mental health concerns. This is especially true during our current time of COVID global pandemic.
Description Group Meal Teams make a committment to provide, prepare and serve a hot, nutritious meal on a specified date. To find an available date for your group please review the "Meal Team Calendar" at our webpage https://www.rayofhope.net/how-you-can-help/volunteer/
Teams can consist of 8-12 members and all members should be at least 18 years of age.
Some groups create their own meal plan, shop for their own ingredients, and bring it all with them when they arrive. Alternately, ROHCC can acquire all the supplies for you and have them ready when you arrive. In this case the organization can simply bring a cheque for $850.00 with them. Groups MUST communicate with Jaime Wright their preferred choice.
Group Meal Team volunteers will also help to support the physical health and safety of everyone at the Community Centre by helping to clean and sanitize at the end of each shift. At this time, face masks are required for the duration of the shift. PPE will be supplied.
