Canadian Mental Health Association Waterloo Wellington (CMHA WW) is one of the largest community mental health agencies in Ontario, providing a full range of mental health and developmental programs and services for Waterloo and Wellington residents.

Description
Are you interested in volunteering with a progressive, dynamic organization that seeks to make a real difference in the lives of people with mental health & addictions challenges and developmental disabilities? Would you like to share your board experience and your talents while contributing to improved mental health, addictions and developmental services? We’re looking for someone like you to join our Board of Directors-Board Committees.

• Governance
• Resources (Finance & HR)
• Performance, Quality, Risk & Ethics
• Fund Development

We welcome all applicants who possess skills, experience and areas of expertise as identified above. We are particularly interested in individuals with experience in the legal and financial fields, as well as those who have experience with diverse populations and knowledge of the broader health care sector.

Training / Work Condtions

Training Details: Committee Members will be offered some orientation to CMHA WW, the Board and the specific Committee they join.
Working Conditions: Meetings-typically virtual. No meetings in December or the Summer.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old and ideally live in Wellington County, Guelph or Waterloo Region.

Transportation: On a bus route


Time Commitment

Duration: 1 year or more
Weekday - Evening
A commitment of 5 hrs/month is required. Committees tend to meet either early morning (e.g., 8:00 am) or at the end of the working day. Potential for evening meetings depending on the Committee.
