   About the Position

Impact Statement
Through community partnerships, we obtain and distribute emergency food from our neighbours for our neighbours.

Work with a team of volunteers to build non-perishable or perishable hampers and sort perishable and non-perishable food donations.

This role is best for volunteers who are flexible, can work independently or as part of a team, with minimal instructions and supervision. Ideal for volunteers who are comfortable working in a busy, active warehouse setting with frequent forklift traffic.

*Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds consistently*

Ideal for: An Individual
Age: 18+

Training / Work Condtions

Training Details: Role specific training will be provided by The Food Bank of Waterloo Region staff.
Working Conditions: Wearing a mask and face shield for the duration of your shift.
Indoors, warehouse environment, hard floors.
Repetitive reaching, bending and lifting up to 50 pounds consistently.
Accessibility: Wheelchair accessible entrance, Wheelchair accessible washroom, Designated accessible parking space

Time Commitment

Duration: 3 months or less
Weekday - Daytime
Volunteers can sign up for any shifts that suite their availability. Shifts typically are scheduled weekday afternoons and evenings with occasional Saturdays.
