Impact Statement As a not-for-profit organization, the GVTA is administered by a volunteer board of directors. The trail was built and is maintained through a large network of volunteer maintenance workers who ensure a strong and safe trail system. The association offers organized hikes through a network of volunteer certified hike leaders who offer a range of hikes throughout the year. There are countless volunteers who help with the running and administration of the association. As a Newsletter Editor, you will be part of the Marketing Team responsible for the production of 3 newsletter per year.

Description The Newsletter Editor is responsible for formatting and editing the GVTA newsletter.
Primary Responsibilities: - Collect and review general content (including ads) for each newsletter. Most of the content is submitted by email - Format the newsletter (Mailchimp) - Send the draft newsletter for proofing and approval - Send final copy to the distribution sources (email).

Training / Work Condtions
Training Details: Orientation to the organization, board and the technology is provided. The volunteer should have experience building and distributing newsletters. This volunteer position is aligned with the Marketing Director. Working Conditions: You will work from home on your computer/laptop to format and compose the newsletter. Contributions will be submitted by email. Accessibility: Transportation: NONE Needed

Time Commitment
Duration: 1 year or more Anytime The newsletter is published quarterly. We estimate about 16 hours to produce and distribute the newsletter.
