Impact Statement Volunteers who support March of Dimes Canada, Stroke Recovery Chapters have an understanding of the effects that a stroke can have on psychological and physical health and utilize their experience to provide hope, encouragement, and emotional support to individuals who are entering the recovery process.

Description The Kitchener and Waterloo Stroke Recovery Chapter is currently seeking volunteers interested in supporting the executive committee. The Chapter executives work together to create a forum where stroke survivors and caregivers can learn about recovery, share resources, and socialize with others who share common experiences.
Main tasks will involve attending monthly meetings, assisting with Chapter events, contacting active members, and assisting with attendance. Interested candidates must be willing to get a Police Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening.

Time Commitment
Duration: 7 - 12 months Weekday - Daytime, Weekday - Evening Meetings are held virtually on the first and third Tuesday of the month from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm in the winter, and in person in the Spring/Fall from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm. No meetings are held in the Summer
