Description Social Engagement Volunteers support our patients through meaningful one-to-one interactions. The social engagement volunteer will provide social visits, play card games, provide reading materials and support virtual visiting.

Ideal for: An Individual Age: 16+
Area(s) of Interest: Caring Support, Health Care / Wellness, Recreation/Sports
Skill(s): Interpersonal Communication, Communicate in Plain Language, Verbal Communication, Computer Skills, Empathy

Training / Work Condtions
Training Details: A new volunteer orientation will be provided which includes training on Emergency Codes, Confidentiality and Health safety, and on the job training will be provided. Working Conditions: Accessibility: Wheelchair accessible entrance, Wheelchair accessible washroom, Designated accessible parking space, Support volunteers with special needs, Accessible work space, Support Newcomers Transportation: On a bus route

Time Commitment
Duration: 7 - 12 months Weekday - Daytime, Weekday - Evening The following shifts are available: Monday to Friday 9:00am to 12:00pm, 12:00pm to 4:00pm and 4:00pm to 7:00pm.
