Description
Volunteers provide support to children in licensed centre-based care. Through games and activities, volunteers aid in the development of children's problem solving skills, pro-social skills, self-management of behaviour and coping skills. Volunteers also have the opportunity to promote wellness using their own skills and knowledge of health and wellness (yoga, Brain Gym, physical fitness, etc.). Volunteers are connected with a Resource Consultant and will provide support on a 1:1 basis and to the classroom.

Activities may include:
- participating in structured games,
- reading and playing with children,
- role modelling positive behaviours, and
- providing support to help children navigate through their daily routines and activities.

Training / Work Condtions

Training Details: Orientation and training provided by KW Habilitation.

Working Conditions: Various Day Care locations for your selection.
