Impact Statement
Extend-A-Family Waterloo Region - a non-profit organization committed to working side by side with families to promote inclusion and serve people with special needs - is seeking Members for its Board Committee Member. EAF’s volunteer Board Committee is made up of community members and supportive family members, who champion and advocate for the organization’s mission, vision and values on behalf of its membership, and guide the strategic direction for the organization.

Description
Currently we are seeking Committee Members to support our Board of Directors.
As a committee member you would participate in one or more Board committees and complete tasks as required.
•Review, provide input and ask questions regarding staff reports, financial statements and strategic imperatives.
•Provide input into the development of the Strategic Plan and evaluate progress on an ongoing basis.
•Monitor and evaluate risk for the organization.

•Community Affiliation / Access
•Fundraising Experience
•Disability Services and/or the Ministry for Child and Youth Services

Training / Work Condtions
Training Details: Mentorship and orientation will be shared by other members.
Working Conditions: Preparation, attendance and participation in meetings are required. Participation in annual campaigns, fundraisers, ongoing advocate, staff recognition events etc. is appreciated. Potential to apply for an EAF Board Member position will be considered when opportunities arise.
