Impact Statement Working in partnership with Ken Seiling Waterloo Region Museum staff and volunteers, the Friends of Waterloo Region Museum support and contribute to the preservation of the heritage, culture and traditions of Waterloo Region.
|
|
Description This position is responsible for managing the financial position of the Friends of Waterloo Region Museum, in accordance with the Constitution and By-Laws, in an accountable and prudent manner.
Responsibilities Administer the Friends of Waterloo Region Museum’s bank account, including maintaining signatory records.
- Prepares/records all cheques - Keeps an accurate accounting of all financial activity - Prepares year-end financial statements. - Issue tax receipts - Prepares and files annual Revenue Canada Charity return. - Act as signing authority for the Board - Works with all committees and Board members to set budgets for events, etc.

Training / Work Condtions
Training Details: Training will be provided by the outgoing Treasurer and Board President. Working Conditions: Regular meetings are held the first Wednesday evening of each month, approximately 2 house each meeting.

Time Commitment
Duration: 1 year or more Weekday - Evening Meetings are held the first Wednesday of each month. 7:00pm to 9:30pm. Treasurer duties will be fulfilled from your home office. The time required each month will vary, but will average approximately 4 hours per month.
