   About the Position

Impact Statement
Do you remember Block Parent signs in windows when you were a kid?
Do you want to see the Block Parent Program grow in your neighbourhood?
The focus of the Waterloo Regional Block Parent Program is to recruit, screen and train volunteers to become Block Parents. By displaying a Block Parent sign in the window, Block Parents help build engaged and connected neighbourhoods where children, and other members of the community, feel safe when they’re walking to school, playing outside with friends, and being active in their neighbourhood. Volunteering for the Block Parent Program really is Building Safer Communities, One Block at a Time!

The Communications Coordinator will create the Program's overall communications strategy and will monitor emerging trends to find new opportunities to promote Block Parents.
