   About the Position

Impact Statement
This parent-and-child program is designed for children ages 2 – 4, to help get ready for Kindergarten. Little Learners offers space for children to participate in a variety of activities, crafts, and on-site excursions. There is a mix of free and structured activities, which allow children to explore and create in their own ways!

- Help set-up and clean-up craft and activity supplies
- Assist children ages 2-4 participate in crafts, activities, and games
- Talk, play, and interact with children ages 2-4
- Provide support to program leader(s) and parents/guardians with supervision of children
- Direct parents/guardians to program leader(s) with questions, comments, or concerns
- Use hot glue guns to help children finish craft projects

Training / Work Condtions

Training Details: Museum staff will provide training and ongoing guidance.
Working Conditions: Little Learners is held at Ken Seiling Waterloo Region Museum. May involve sitting on the floor to play with and assist preschool children.
Accessibility: Wheelchair accessible entrance, Wheelchair accessible washroom, Designated accessible parking space, Support volunteers with special needs, Accessible work space, Support Newcomers
Transportation: On a bus route

Time Commitment

Duration: 4 - 6 months
Weekday - Daytime
Tot Time sessions run on Thursday mornings. Volunteer shifts are Thursdays 9:30 - 11:30 a.m.
