Description Do you love to garden? Could you help us out this summer? As an outdoor gardener, your responsibilities include maintaining and caring for the gardens (weed, prune, transplant, clean up) and following established plans. Please understand that the position is physically demanding (know personal limitations). Volunteers must wear closed-toe shoes (no sandals).

Training / Work Condtions
Training Details: Kitchener Public Library provides an orientation and a review of appropriate safety guidelines and procedures. We also provide all gardening supplies. Working Conditions: Outdoors; garden in front of library; Accessibility: Wheelchair accessible entrance, Wheelchair accessible washroom, Designated accessible parking space, Support volunteers with special needs, Accessible work space, Support Newcomers Transportation: On a bus route

Time Commitment
Duration: 4 - 6 months Weekday - Daytime, Weekday - Evening, Weekend - Daytime 1 – 2 hours a week from April/May to October; flexible hours - volunteers sign up for their weekly shifts during regular library hours.
