   About the Position

Impact Statement
Carizon is a multi-service community organization committed to improving the future of individuals and families through supportive, therapeutic and preventative programs.

Description
* Please note, we are currently offering tutoring virtually and in-person (one evening only).

Provide academic support to high school students, in various subjects and grades
Help students develop the study skills necessary for academic success
Help students develop self-confidence and reduce anxiety or fear of failure in academic work
Help students develop positive attitudes toward learning and studying
Sign-in for the scheduled shifts and keep track of the time spent in the program
Notify staff when absent


Position Qualifications

Ideal for: An Individual
Age: 18+ English Proficiency, Confidentiality, Specialized Training
COVID-19 Vactionation Required: Yes


Training / Work Condtions

Training Details: Orientation to the role will be provided.
Working Conditions: Virtual and in-person
Accessibility: Wheelchair accessible entrance, Wheelchair accessible washroom, Designated accessible parking space, Accessible work space, Support Newcomers


Time Commitment

Duration: 4 - 6 months
Weekday - Evening
Virtual - offered Monday-Thursday from 5:00-8:00 pm
In-person - only offered on Wednesdays from 4:30-7:30 pm
Covid-19 health guidelines are strictly followed.
