   About the Position

Impact Statement
Providing a variety of recreational, environmental and cultural activities in addition to social support services.

Description
Drive clients safely to and from their scheduled destinations using your personal vehicle. Examples of destinations include medical appointments, shopping trips, and personal errands.

Clients are newcomer older adults whose primary language is not English and may be learning English as an additional language.

Volunteer drivers must:

-be able to commit for one year (preferred)
-be able to communicate in an additional language and/or be comfortable communicating through a smart phone based translator app
-be available one half or full weekday per week between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
-be a friendly, dependable adult 21 or older with great communication skills
-have a valid MTO class G driver's licence, safe driving record, be fully insured, have a reliable vehicle and access to a smart phone
-meet screening requirements
-mileage is reimbursed

Training Details: Provided by Age Well at Home Staff
Working Conditions: Volunteers transport clients in their personal vehicle.

Time Commitment

Duration: 1 year or more
Weekday - Daytime
Full or half weekday per week between the hours of 8:30am and 4:30pm
