   About the Position

Impact Statement
Parents for Community Living KW Inc. (PCL) is a not-for-profit charitable organization. Our mission is to offer meaningful services and support for persons with exceptional needs. PCL provides respite, residential, community participation supports, and supported independent living services at thirteen locations throughout the Waterloo Region.

PCL volunteers donate their time and talents in many different areas based on their interests and the needs of the organization. Our volunteers are valued and are a very important part of the PCL community.

Description
PCL is specifically seeking two (2) individuals who will serve a three year term as of September 2024. We are looking for professionals with diverse backgrounds reflective of our community and the populations that we serve. PCL welcomes candidates with competencies that align with our Standing Committees of the Board: Finance & Audit, Governance and Board Process and Fund Development. We are looking for professionals who have skills and experience in one or more of the following areas:
Fund development
Government Advocacy
Finance
Legal

Training / Work Condtions

Training Details: Training will be provided
Working Conditions: In this volunteer role, the successful candidate shall commit to:
Attend 10 Board meetings each year on the 3rd Monday of the month from September to June. Commit to up to two consecutive three-year terms. Monthly commitment of 6-10 hours. Participation in one or more Board Committees: Finance & Audit, Governance and Board Process, and Fund Development.
Accessibility: Wheelchair accessible entrance, Wheelchair accessible washroom, Designated accessible parking space, Accessible work space
Transportation: On a bus route


Time Commitment

Duration: 1 year or more
Weekday - Evening
