Starling Community Services, formally Lutherwood
Starling Community Services, formally Lutherwood is a progressive, not-for-profit health and social service organization that strengthens people's lives in our community by providing mental health, employment and housing services to more than 19,600 people annually in Waterloo Region and Wellington County. In operation since 1970, Lutherwood offers a range of mental health and social service programs. We help children and their families work through mental health issues through residential, day and community-based treatment programs. We help individuals find and maintain jobs, and individuals and families at risk of experiencing homelessness find suitable housing. We offer family counselling for individuals, couples and families who cannot afford counselling services. And, we operate a shelter for homeless youth (12-18 years) and an assisted living facility that offers various levels of care for seniors. The Starling Community Services, formally Lutherwood Child and Family Foundation cultivates relationships within our community to generate financial resources and raise awareness of Lutherwood's services in our community.
