**The health and well-being of the people we serve, our families, staff and the wider community is our top priority. All volunteer positions with EAFWR have been temporarily suspended during the COVID-19 pandemic, with the exception of our Board of Directors and Committee of the Board positions. Interviews will be conducted for these positions virtually via teleconference. Extend-A-Family Waterloo Region was founded in 1981 by parents of children with developmental disabilities, as a way to build friendship and nurture community in Waterloo Region. As a local not-for-profit who serves nearly 2,000 adults and children with developmental and physical disabilities, EAFWR is committed to dignity, inclusion and belonging for all.
