Camino Wellbeing + Mental Health
In April 2023, Camino Wellbeing + Mental Health united the work of Carizon Family and Community Services, KW Counselling Services, and Monica Place. Together, are ensuring there is no wrong door for anyone reaching out to strengthen their wellbeing and mental health through a more cohesive system that ensures timely, compassionate access to services.
We offer more than 140 services to people of all ages and backgrounds throughout Waterloo Region, including Woolwich and Wilmot Townships. Our programs span the mental health continuum, ranging from early intervention and prevention to intensive trauma treatment services.
Our work is defined by three pillars of support:
1. Counselling for children individuals and families including: Quick Response counselling for children, youth, and adults; counselling tailored to reflect newcomers’ lived experiences and needs; and gender-based violence and trauma support.
2. Community and Youth programs including: academic, social, and financial support through Pathways to Education; supportive services for 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals and their families; and workshops that create connection and strengthen wellbeing.
3. Family Supports including: programs for pregnant and parenting youth; prenatal, parenting and childhood programs; and children's mental health.
Last year, we walked alongside more than 17,600 individuals on their journeys to reach their brightest futures.
