   About the Position

Impact Statement
TLG is looking for volunteers including one-one tutors, group instructors and classroom assistants to support the running of our programs.
Help us make a difference by supporting a root cause to some of our community’s biggest issues. Help empower an adult today and see the difference improving their literacy makes in their life.

Description
Meet one-to one or small group in-person. Help learners with:
- Addition & subtraction
- Multiplication & division
- Fractions
- Percents
- Ratios
- Measurement (metric and imperial)
- Money math skills
- Math for work, learning and life

Follow established curriculum no need to develop your own.


Position Qualifications

Ideal for: An Individual, Student Placement
Age: 18+

Area(s) of Interest: Mentoring / Tutoring

Skill(s): Coaching, Communicate in Plain Language, Motivate Others, Respect, Counting, Calculating


Training / Work Condtions

Training Details: Training provided
Working Conditions: In office/classroom or online through Zoom
Accessibility: Wheelchair accessible entrance, Designated accessible parking space, Accessible work space
Transportation: On a bus route


Time Commitment

Duration: 4 - 6 months
Weekday - Daytime, Weekday - Evening
Classes will depend on learner needs. Some may be daytime others evenings.
