Description We are bringing on several high school youth to join Season 3 of our Food Leader Interview Series! Our youth Interviewers conduct virtual video interviews with professionals working in our food systems (aka Canadian food leaders). This role is responsible for participating in virtual training sessions, designing interview questions, communicating with their selected Interviewee, and carrying out an interview over Zoom.
No prior experience is required! You must currently be a high school student or of high school age (14-19) and have strong communication skills.
The time requirement is anticipated to be about 10-20 hours between June and September 2023. There will be four mandatory 30-minute training sessions in June-July 2023.
Our goal is to provide a flexible and self-driven atmosphere where you’re free to explore your interests, gain new skills, and ultimately contribute to an important youth-drive project to inspire and educate youth about agri-food careers!

Training / Work Condtions
Training Details: Staff will carry out training sessions with all Interviewers - these are virtual, group sessions over Zoom. They will focus on some of the key skills needed to successfully interview a food leader - research, designing interview questions, communicating via email, using Zoom, and of course, practicing those interview skills!
This volunteer position is entirely remote, and we welcome volunteers from any location. Working Conditions: Remote Accessibility: Transportation: NONE Needed

Time Commitment
Duration: 4 - 6 months Weekday - Daytime, Weekday - Evening, Anytime Much of the work will take place on a self-selected schedule. There will be several afternoon/evening training sessions throughout early summer.
