United Way’s community agencies have been on the frontlines of responding to the rising needs of the most vulnerable individuals and families during the COVID-19 pandemic. Community workers and volunteers have stepped up to meet emergency needs and to keep vital programs going. Writing a note to a community frontline worker or volunteer is a great way to send local love recognizing them for their steadfast commitment and hard work.

Age: 12+

Training / Work Condtions

Training Details: Instructions provided by United Way staff.
Working Conditions: From home.
Accessibility: Accessible work space

Time Commitment

Duration: 3 months or less
Each letter takes approximately 15-30 minutes to write.
