Impact Statement SPECTRUM is Waterloo Region's first ever LGBTQ2+ / Rainbow community space and day5games is a chance to get together and play board games. We also solve jigsaw puzzles, and build with LEGO, as we meet up with old friends and make new.
Why Volunteer//What You’ll Get Out of It: -Gain a sense of community and build relationships with other LGBTQ2+ individuals -Help the community by providing welcoming and supportive programming -Personal growth opportunities, such as facilitation skills, problem solving or learning through others’ experiences -An opportunity to relax and play games

Description You will host our games night, representing SPECTRUM and greeting participants. You will facilitate conversations and encourage participants to converse with one another, ensuring the inclusion of all, both in games and activities, as well as in a welcoming atmosphere where individuals feel comfortable to share their thoughts and experiences.
We use Tabletopia to run games. You will ensure all participants know how to play the games, including asking clarifying questions if someone’s game instructions are unclear.
You will demonstrate time management, ensuring games end on time, and report back to SPECTRUM on any issues that arise.
You should have lived experience as an LGBTQ2+ individual or ally, and be a strong verbal communicator.
