Impact Statement Marillac Place provides a safe home for women ages of sixteen and up who are pregnant, who have a child in their care, or who are attempting to regain care of their child. Women who come to Marillac Place receive 24-hour guidance and support, continue their education and are enabled with the life-skills they need to care for themselves and their child.
Mission Statement Marillac Place supports new mothers and mothers-to-be facing homelessness in Waterloo Region by providing a safe living environment, teaching parenting & life skills, and developing supportive relationships.

Description Are you passionate about helping young mothers break the cycle of homelessness and poverty? Consider joining our friendly team of volunteers to this strategic vs. event focused role.
We are looking for members to join our Fundraising Committee. This is a standing committee of the Board of Directors at Marillac Place that is responsible for providing strategic direction and assisting staff in raising funds - more strategic vs. event focused.
You will be working with the Committee Chair and Executive Director and other committee members to provide input on campaign development and implementation, provide input on grant proposals, perform reviews of past campaigns, develop and review fundraising plans and policies, assist in creative communications, and work with staff and board members to forge new partnerships and maintain existing relationships with donors.
Some fundraising, communications and public relations experience is preferred.

Duration: 1 year or more Anytime Flexible volunteer position; 1-2 hours per week
