Impact Statement The Royal Medieval Faire is a magical day where the medieval period comes alive in the 21st century. The day is full of games, medieval vendors and performers, including dramatic productions, musicians and swordplay. Every year, the Faire relies on dedicated volunteers to bring the festival alive and attract thousands of patrons for the annual event.

Description This role reports to and liaises with Board of Directors on promotion plans and budget - Book ads according to plan, update spent budget - Manage social media - Submit renewal requests of sponsorship contributions to sponsors - Liaise with graphic designer to produce suitable ads; book promotion spots on radio or TV stations - Ensure sponsor requirements are accurately captured in all advertising artwork, faire program and on-site faire day sponsor poster boards - Communicate the status of advertising to the Board; attend required board meetings Commitment - Attend meetings as arranged between April and end of Sept - Help run the festival the day of the event on Sat, Sept 16, 2023 from 8am to 8pm (includes set up and take down of event) - Qualifications - Interpersonal and organizational skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Time Commitment
Duration: 4 - 6 months Start Date:2023-09-16 End Date:2023-09-16 Weekday - Daytime, Weekday - Evening, Weekend - Daytime, Weekend - Evening, Anytime Hours will vary throughout the year. The time commitment is a few hours per month between April and September. During August and September up to 1-5 hours per week. - Hours will increase as the day of the Faire approaches; post Faire (October- March) will have minimal hours. - Work during hours that best suit the volunteer's schedule. - Attend monthly board meetings as required.
