Impact Statement
Literacy is an essential skill in today's world. At Frontier College, we believe it's a fundamental right. Frontier College is Canada's original literacy organization. Through a network of thousands of volunteers, Frontier College is helping people realize their potential and seize the opportunities that come their way.

Description
Online WPL Reading Buddies is a virtual guided reading program run by Frontier College, in partnership with the Waterloo Public Library, that engages and helps children in grades 2-4 improve their social and reading skills in a safe, fun, and friendly virtual environment. Virtual tutors are then matched up with learners to engage in one-on-one reading facilitated through the Zoom breakout room feature. During the last part of the session, the virtual tutors play games with the learners to further develop their literacy skills.
