   About the Position

Impact Statement
Work with the board of the GVTA, especially the President and the members of the Executive! As a Secretary you will be able to use your administrative and organizational skills to help the business of the association run smoothly and learn more about all the latest projects and events.

The volunteer will serve as the record keeper for the association. In addition to taking minutes at all GVTA Board, Planning meetings and at the Annual General Meeting (AGM). They will work with the President and other board members to maintain the official record books of the Association, including minutes, bylaws, Standing Rules, List of Directors, and have current books on hand at every meeting. Key responsibilities include creating and sending out meeting agendas, minutes and managing the archives.

Training / Work Condtions

Training Details: Orientation to the GVTA organization and board is provided. The director must have access to a phone, a computer and the internet, and have skills using Microsoft Word.
Working Conditions: All GVTA meetings follow Covid-19 protocols currently in place. Virtual Meetings are held monthly on the 2nd Tuesday of the month.
Accessibility: Support volunteers with special needs

Time Commitment

Duration: 1 year or more
Weekday - Evening, Anytime
Approximately 10 hours per month. Expectation to attend 10 evening board meetings per year on the second Tuesday of the month except January and July, special executive meetings if needed, and the Annual General Meeting. Approximately 1 hour / week is required to manage the general mailbox.
